Summer Village of Burnstick Lake
The Summer Village of Burnstick Lake is 150 kms northwest of Calgary and approximately 50 km northwest of Sundre. Fifty seven cottages make up the summer village that sits on 18 hectars on the north shore of beautiful Burnstick Lake.
FIRE BAN
As of May 15, 2012 there is a fire ban for the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake and the Clearwater County. This fire ban is in support of the Provincial fire ban, and is required to address the dry conditions and high to extreme hazard causing dangerous conditions that could lead to large scale wild fires.
The countywide ban applies to anything that produces an open flame such as: campfires, bonfires, fire rings, torches, burning barrels, hibatchi barbeques, fireworks, etc. The ban does not apply to gas fuelled equipment such as a propane barbeques which contains the flame within.
